Holidays With the Joneses

It's been so busy lately that we didn't even get a chance to blog about the girls' Christmas and New Year's. Honestly, we haven't had time to blog about anything in a while. After returning from the cruise, it seems like our days flew by and it was the weekend before Christmas, and NO Christmas shopping had been done. :-( Needless to say, it all got done, and the girls had a great Christmas.

I always say the days leading up to Christmas are the best because these are the times when you get to decorate the house, go look at lights, visit Santa, make cookies, and any other traditions you may have. This year I made snowman pancakes on Christmas Eve morning and they were a hit! These will definitely be added into the Jones Christmas traditions. :-)

I LOVE the feeling of Christmas morning. It takes me back to when I was a child and how excited I would be to wake up everyone in the house to see if there were any gifts under the tree. Now, I get to do the same with our girls and it is the Best Thing Ever! This Christmas was extra special because this year the twins could walk in and see all of the toys they had gotten. I was surprised to see how excited they were. Kalani could not stop saying "ooooo" (even though she was saying it to the tree. LOL). It was still more than I was expecting from one year olds.

After opening gifts and having breakfast at our house, we packed up the car and traveled to our families houses. Some kind of way I ended up opening all the gifts for the girls at each house we went to. By the time it was Kalani's turn to open her gifts, I was so tired that all I did was peek in the box and say "Thank You". :-)

New Year's was a little more calm. We celebrated with our friends and family and had a game night. Before leaving the house, Kev and I decided to bring the travel cribs with us because we just knew the twins would be ready for bed as soon as we got to my sisters' house. Of course, we were wrong. They ALL stayed up until we left after midnight! Can we say Party Animals??!! LOL Kaysen had a blast blowing the noise makers at midnight. ( I can still hear the ringing in my ears).

The Jones Family had a great holiday season, and we hope you all did too! :-)
