Busy Days

Things have been pretty hectic around the Jones household lately. Between doctors appointments, birthday parties, school functions, family functions, gymnastics class, and dance practice, I don't think we've had one free day in the last two weeks to just sit at home and relax. Here's a little update on just a few things that have kept us busy lately.

All three girls were sick, but thank goodness they are finally starting to feel better. Kalani had an ear infection in both ears, and probably would've been completely off her meds by now if someone (me) hadn't left them sitting out all night. (I'm gonna blame it on Mom Brain...if that's a thing) So that was an EXTRA trip back to the pharmacy, which I have to admit, is one of my least favorite places to go. Am I the only one that has to argue with the pharmacist about something when you go to pick up medicine?? Every.Single.Time. I won't go into details for this visit, but I will tell you I had to go into "Mama Bear" mode about getting the medicine to my sick child. We may have to find a new pharmacy. Not sure the pharmacist wants me to come back. LOL Positive side of all 3 being sick: I got to stay home from work and spend the day with them.😃

Kaysen has recently joined a dance team, and this is probably the number one thing that keeps us on the go. She had her first performance this past weekend and did SO GOOD! When she was performing you could tell how much fun she was having by the huge smile that stayed on her face from beginning to end. We are so proud of her!

And of course, there was Halloween...(sigh). The girls had fun, but Mom and Dad were exhausted. We decided to go to Harvest Fest at a local church, thinking that it wouldn't be crowded since it was rainy and cold, plus they moved it inside so the girls would be warm. We were wrong! It was packed! We (Kevin and I) were ready to go as soon as we got there. LOL We were so thankful that my sisters, niece, and nephew decided to come along. We would not have been able to stay without their help. Kaysen had a great time, and in the end, that's what was important.

I'm hoping things will start to slow down a little bit, but with the holidays coming up, I don't see that happening anytime soon.😉

Oh, I also had a birthday a few days ago. :-) Here's a pic of the Oreo Poke Cake my mom made for me. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!😋
