Anniversary Cruisin'
Kev and I decided to celebrate our 5 years of marriage by taking a cruise to the Bahamas! One of the BEST vacations we have taken so far!
Yes we left the kids, and of course we missed them so much (thank goodness for Facebook messenger), but it was a much needed break. We got to rest, relax, and have time to enjoy being husband and wife. Sometimes with the hustle of keeping up with the girls, we forget to set aside time for just us two.
We were gone for 7 whole days. :-) I think we forgot how to just be a couple with no kids to look after. It felt kind of weird only having to keep up with each other; no strollers, no diaper bags or stuffed animals. It was even weird to have adult conversations without mentioning the girls, or wondering about what they were doing, but hey we are parents and that's what parents do. LOL
Besides missing the girls, we truly enjoyed ourselves on the ship and the beautiful islands. I even got on a smaller boat that took us to a private island without hyperventilating! YAY! The food was AMAZING and the views were even better.
We can't wait to go on another cruise, but when we do, we'll definitely take the girls with us. :-)
